ABC To Launch 'Indiana Jones-style' Reality Show

He's already created reality shows set in the jungle (Survivor) and the urban jungle (The Apprentice), but Mark Burnett's new reality show for ABC dumps office politics for something more "high-adventure."

The series, Expedition Impossible, will see teams of three racing around the world in a 10-stage competition that'll involve feats of both physical and mental agility, with a statement from ABC describing the show as "equal parts extreme competition, teamwork and strategy, featuring unique landscapes and different cultures." Sounds like CBS' The Amazing Race to me, but Burnett himself is much better at making it sound exciting and new: "I love high-adventure television, and I am so excited to be working with ABC in bringing an epic 'Indiana Jones'-style experience to viewers."

The series is currently casting for a 2011 debut.
