After seven seasons, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will reach its end next week. It will also move into a special time slot for its two-part series finale.

The finale will air this upcoming Wednesday.  Part one, titled "The End Is At Hand" will air at 9PM ET while the second part, "What We're Fighting For" will air at 10PM ET. The series finale will see the Agents battle the time-traveling Chronicoms, who are led by their old enemy Nathaniel Malick.

The official synopsis for "The End Is At Hand" and "What We're Fighting For" reads as follows:

With their backs against the wall and Nathaniel and Sibyl edging ever closer to eliminating SHIELD from the history books, the agents must rely on their strengths to outsmart and outlast the Chronicoms. This is their most important fight, and it will take the help of friends and teammates, past and present, to survive.

Debuting in 2012, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was the flagship television series of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series features a team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents being led by the resurrected Phil Coulson. It has gained a fan following over the years and many of its characters and concepts have appeared in mainstream Marvel Comics continuity.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Henry Simmons, Iain De Caestecker, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, Elizabeth Henstridge and Clark Gregg. The series finale airs Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
