A Year of Cool Comics - Day 349

Here is the latest in our year-long look at one cool comic (whether it be a self-contained work, an ongoing comic or a run on a long-running title that featured multiple creative teams on it over the years) a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here's the archive of the comics posted so far!

We continue the Cool Christmas Comic Countdown with a delightfully hilarious Christmas story starring Super Santa by Kelley Puckett and Pete Woods that first appeared in DC Infinite Holiday Special #1 in 2007.

The story opens up strong (Pete Woods is AMAZING on the second page)...

And that sets up the basic conceit for the book - Superman dresses up as Super Santa (the S is for Santa, natch) to surprise Tyrone when he finds himself accosted by a fellow hero...

What happens next is hilariously over-the-top and it is probably the funniest use of the Elseworlds symbol ever!

Go seek this story out! DC has not reprinted this, have they? They really should - Puckett and Woods just knocked it out of the park. SO good.
