Here is the latest in our year-long look at one cool comic (whether it be a self-contained work, an ongoing comic or a run on a long-running title that featured multiple creative teams on it over the years) a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here's the archive of the moments posted so far!

Let's take a look at the #2 story on the Greatest Thing Stories Ever Told list, Tom DeFalco and Ron Wilson's Marvel Two-In-One Annual #7!

Enjoy!

The set-up for the issue is a strange one, to be sure...

Finally, the collected heroes meet the Champion...

The heroes obviously try to find other ways of stopping the Champion, but nothing seems to work - the day of the event ticks down and the hype around it increases...

One by one, the heroes are eliminated (the really big guns are eliminated for reasons other than their not being able to defeat the Champion, like Thor being disqualified because he needs his hammer, Namor because he refused to cooperate and the Hulk because he goes berserk and won't follow the rules)...and only one hero remains...

And here's his intro - pretty cool, huh?

Then the fight begins - I don't want to show too much of the fight (only the first and second pages are in sequential order - there are pages missing so as to not ruin too much of it)...

That's enough - you should check out the comic (you can find it most back issue places for not too much money) to see the cool ending! DeFalco and Wilson do a marvelous job making the Thing come off as really, really cool.
