Here is the latest cool comic book moment in our year-long look at one cool comic book moment a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here's the archive of the moments posted so far!

Today we continue "Catch Phrase" week! Each day we'll examine the first time that various comic book characters used their most famous catch phrase!

Today we look at a "catch phrase" from the Justice League run by Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis that is less a phrase and more a noise, but I still think it counts!

Enjoy!

During the first six issues of the Justice League, writers Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis kept the book fairly straightforward, with a bit of humor thrown in here and there. The dramedy approach proved popular, and over time (as the book turned into Justice League International with #7), the book began to take on more of a humorous edge.

Justice League International #8, a "Day in the Life" story of the League setting up their various embassies (now that they have gone international), was the first story to complete embrace the idea of the book as almost more of a situation comedy than a dramedy.

In the issue, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold and Black Canary are in Paris setting up their French embassy.

Beetle and Booster are having a drink (by the by, how garish is Beetle's outfit?)...

They get into costume and meet up with Canary, but while she's complaining about the difficulties of the move, Beetle still can't get over the humor of it all...

And that leads to the most famous catch phrase of the Justice League run of Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis, which would be heard many many more times before they left...

For the heck of it, let's see the next page, where the joke continues (and we get to hear Bwah Ha Ha Ha once again already!)...

Thanks to DubipR for suggesting I feature "Bwah Ha Ha"!
