A Year of Cool Comic Book Moments - Day 37

Here is the latest cool comic book moment in our year-long look at one cool comic book moment a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here's the archive of the moments posted so far!

Today we take a look at a classic issue of Steranko's Captain America.

In fact, let's do this as a two-day event!

A couple of years before the three-part storyline in Captain America #111-113, Stan Lee had Captain America reveal his identity to the world.

The storyline in Captain America #111-113 details the way they got that particular cat back into the bag.

In Captain America #111, by Jim Steranko, Cap's lack of a secret identity begins to be a bit of a drag on Cap and his brand-new Bucky, Rick Jones.

At the end of Captain America #111, Cap appears to have been killed, and the police find a Steve Rogers mask!! Could Cap have been faking being Steve Rogers all along?!?

Captain America #112 was a retrospective on Cap's career by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

That led to Captain America #113 by Steranko.

The Avengers and Nick Fury are having a wake for Captain America when they are captured by Hydra. Rick Jones follows them to a cemetery where they are being buried alive. He's about to be captured himself when...

well, just take a look, in its double-paged glory...
