A Year of Cool Comic Book Moments - Day 297

Here is the latest cool comic book moment in our year-long look at one cool comic book moment a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here's the archive of the moments posted so far!

Let's try a few special bits as we draw closer to #300 (which, at this exact moment, I don't know what I'm going to use - tell you what, folks, I have an idea for a feature series, but I'm either starting it with #300 or #301, so if you have a great idea for a REALLY cool moment that I should feature for #300, drop me a line at bcronin@comicbookresources.com, and I'll see if I change my mind and feature something else at #300 - there are a lot of really cool moments left out there - heck, today's moment is pretty darn special and it is only just getting posted!) - the reveal of who the "Dark Master" is in the Great Darkness Saga...

Okay, the set-up is this "Dark" guy has been kicking all sorts of ass against the Legion, and now he has a plot involving giving all the people on Daxam powers like Superman. They are now his slaves...but who IS he?

What a great reveal!

Well done by writer Paul Levitz and artist Keith Giffen (was he co-plotter by this time?)!
