Here is the latest cool comic book moment in our year-long look at one cool comic book moment a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here's the archive of the moments posted so far!

Today we look at a great moment from an instant classic issue of Marvel Adventures: Avengers by Jeff Parker!

Enjoy!

Marvel Adventures: The Avengers #9 was written by Jeff Parker and drawn by Juan Santacruz. It has the following awesome cover by Cameron Stewart (I believe that I named this my very favorite cover of 2007!)...

As you can see from the cover, in this issue, the Avengers are all turned into versions of M.O.D.O.C. (Mental Organism Designed Only for Conquest).

However, they are still Avengers, sort of.

So when they answer the alarm to fight off an invasion of Attuma and his aquatic army and giant sea monsters, they have a slightly more...conquer-y view on matters, leading to my favorite moment of the issue.

The rest of the issue is good, too, but that was my favorite moment, so it gets to be the cool comic book moment of the day!

Good work, Jeff Parker!
