Here is the latest cool comic book moment in our year-long look at one cool comic book moment a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here's the archive of the moments posted so far!

Today, we take a look at a nifty scene from Batman: Year One.

Enjoy!

I'm sure we'll see plenty of moments from Batman: Year One before this year is out, so for the first moment from the storyline, I've decided to go a little bit off the beaten path (as there are a lot more famous moments from the story than this one).

In Batman #405, by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli, we see the beginning of Batman's war on crime.

He serves notice on the crooks of the city (both official criminals and politicians/criminals) in this amazing sequence...

What an amazing sequence, with "the" moment being either Batman's speech or the actual extinguishing of the flame.

Although, here's a neat little "epilogue," of sorts, from the next page.

Classic.
