Here is the latest cool comic book moment in our year-long look at one cool comic book moment a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here's the archive of the moments posted so far!

Today we look at a great scene from the second Hellboy mini-series, where Hellboy makes quite an introduction upon some Nazis due to an amusing malfunction.

Enjoy!

Mike Mignola is a really great artist.

His Hellboy series are usually filled with dramatic giant panels that are overflowing with dynamism.

This series of pages from early in the Hellboy mini-series, Wake the Devil, is a great example of the power of Mignola the artist (and the dark humor of Mignola the writer).

Hellboy is on a mission against some Nazis. He is given a jetpack.

Things don't go the way they were planned, so his entrance against the Nazis is a lot more...fiery than he intended (these pages are the last few pages, including the cliffhanger, of the first issue of the series)

Bad news for Hellboy, good news for people who like to look at cool stuff...

I guess "the" moment is when he crashes through the roof, but that shot of him free-falling trying to get the rocket going is great, too.
