After a long legal battle, the television adaptation of Robert Jordan's hit fantasy series "The Wheel of Time" is moving forward.

Jordan's widow -- and editor of the book series -- Harriet McDougal announced that the series is indeed happening in a Google+ post (via io9):

Wanted to share with you exciting news about The Wheel of Time. Legal issues have been resolved. The Wheel of Time will become a cutting edge TV series! I couldn’t be more pleased. Look for the official announcement coming soon from a major studio —Harriet

Published from 1990-2013, "The Wheel of Time" is a sprawling fantasy epic that follows the quest to find the Dragon Reborn and stop the Dark One.

Prior to this incarnation of the "Wheel of Time," a low budget pilot was made, which aired in the middle of the night on FXX, presumably in an attempt on studio Red Eagle's part to hold onto the rights.
