A Web-Slinging Christmas: "Spider-Man Goes Shopping"

We continue our Spider-Man Christmas with 1977's Spider-Man newspaper comic strip by Stan Lee and John Romita...

The Spider-Man newspaper strip rarely has much of a Christmas storyline. Very often, they'll just interrupt whatever the then-current plotline and say, "Merry Christmas!" Sometimes it is even really inappropriate (like Peter and Mary Jane were going through some hard times in their relationship, and her "Merry Christmas" to Peter was really kind of passive aggressive).

The 1977 strips, though, spent a whole WEEK on Christmas, concluding with a special Sunday Strip about the holiday!

Good stuff from a classic creative team.
