A Web-Slinging Christmas: "Merry Christmas, Mister Storm"

We continue our Spider-Man Christmas with 1995s s "Merry Christmas, Mister Storm" from Spider-Man Holiday Special #1 by Sholly Fisch, Robert Brown, Josh Hood and Al Williamson...

This one-shot came out during the short-lived period where Ben Reilly was Spider-Man and presumed to be the original Peter Parker and the guy we all knew as Peter Parker was actually the clone.

This is the story that introduced the rather novel concept of Spider-Man and Human Torch meeting every year on top of the Statue of Liberty to exchange Christmas presents. The story opens with Johnny waiting for Spider-Man, who is late. Johnny thinks back to the previous time they met (addressing stories that were going on in the FF circa 1993-1994) when Spider-Man offers to reveal his identity to Johnny...

Cute, simple story.
