We continue our spotlight on Spider-Man Christmas stories with 1973's "Betrayed!" and "My Uncle, My Enemy!" from Amazing Spider-Man #130-131 by Gerry Conway and Ross Andru (plus a few inkers)...

It's funny, I never remember this, but Aunt May's wedding to Doctor Octopus? It took place on Christmas Eve! Yep, Amazing Spider-man #130 ends with Peter attending a party on Christmas Eve at Betty Brant and Ned Leeds' place, before he ends up following Aunt May to the wedding between her and Doctor Octopus (as part of one of the dumbest supervillain plots of all-time)....

The next issue ends with Peter flying home along with Aunt May, but throughout the issue, Mary Jane spends the party wondering where Peter is and her friends debate amongst themselves whether Peter and MJ are right for each other. It ends with Mary Jane clearly going through some significant maturation, as Conway was setting her up to be Peter's new love interest...

Good stuff and, oddly enough, clearly a Christmas story!
