A statement from Executive Producer of CBR Jonah Weiland

On September 11th, 2001, people around the world were touched by the events that occured in the United States. The news was devastating and shocking.

On this day it was decided that normal operations of Comic Book Resources would cease, except for stories directly affected by the devastation in New York City and Washington DC. All day visitors to CBR have been congregating in our Chat Room and Message Boards sharing their pain, their stories and fear. If you're in need of a friendly ear during this time of crisis feel free to drop in and share your thoughts.

The staff of CBR are all accounted for and not directly affected, but like you and me, we're all taking a moment to reflect on the day's events.

CBR will return to regular programming by Noon September 12th PDT, pending further developments. Reporting comic news at a time like this seems trivial, but at the same time it might be a welcome distraction to many that will help them cope with this overwhelming tragedy.

All of us at CBR would like to express our deepest sympathies to anyone touched by this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and victims on this day. We encourage you to help by donating blood at your local hospital or Red Cross chapter.
