Paramount Pictures' upcoming sequel to 2018's A Quiet Place has been added to the list of film premieres delayed due to coronavirus.A Quiet Place Part II was originally slated to arrive in theaters March 20. However, director John Krasinski confirmed the delay on Instagram, writing "now is clearly not the right time" to release the film.

The original A Quiet Place centers on a family trying to survive a post-apocalyptic world plagued with mysterious, blind creatures with heightened senses of hearing. Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe all reprising their roles from the first film, with Krasinski set to appear in a flashback scene. The sequel will also introduce Cillian Murphy as Emmett, another survivor who has managed to stay hidden from the monstrous creatures.

Coronavirus has caused the delays of several films, including No Time to Die and Peter Rabbit 2:The Runaway. Additionally, Diamond Comic Distributors' 2020 Retailer Summit, SXSW, Coachella and E3 have all been either delayed or canceled due to the pandemic.

Written and directed by John Krasinski, A Quiet Place Part II stars Emily Blunt, Djimon Hounsou, Noah Jupe, Millicent Simmonds and Cillian Murphy. The film's new release date has yet to be announced.
