Every day this month I'm going to feature a current comic book writing "star," someone who I think is a very good writer.

I'm mostly going to try to keep from the biggest names as much as possible, because, really, do I need to talk more about the awesomeness of Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman and Warren Ellis?

Here is the archive of previously featured writers.

Today we look at the writer of one of the best new series of 2008!

Enjoy!

Brian Clevinger first gained renown for his work on the web-comic, 8-bit Theatre. Here is a link to where you can find the latest strip.

But it is his comic book Atomic Robo, which he writes with artist Scott Wegener (who I featured here during the Month of Art Stars) that I'm mostly talking about now.

Atomic Robo is about a robot built during the 1920s by Nikola Tesla. He has worked for the government in various capacities ever since, mostly handling bizarre cases with a sense of humor. The book is action-packed and often quite funny!

To save myself some time, I'm just going to use the same pages I used before to highlight Wegener's art, only this time I will use them to highly Clevinger's writing!

Cool stuff!

Check out the Atomic Robo site here to see where you can buy Atomic Robo!
