That John McClane sure has a rotten string of luck. An attempt to surprise his estranged wife led to taking on a group of terrorists -- in fact, just about every attempt to hang out with a family member ends in bad guy-fighting, now that we think about it. That's the case in the upcoming film A Good Day To Die Hard, starring Bruce Willis as McClane and Jai Courtney as his son, CIA agent Jack. Here the official synopsis:

Iconoclastic, take-no-prisoners cop John McClane, for the first time, finds himself on foreign soil after traveling to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack–unaware that Jack is really a highly-trained CIA operative out to stop a nuclear weapons heist. With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClanes discover that their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes.

We've seen a pair of trailers already from the John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines, Max Payne) film, but Fox is now ready to show off the movie's first TV spot, which mostly features Willis and explosions, but does give Courtney a bit of screen time.

A Good Day to Die Hard, the fifth film in the franchise, opens Feb. 14.
