We've long known that Captain America: The First Avenger would give a nod (and a wink) to the character's traditional Marvel comics costume with the ensemble the Sentinel of Liberty dons for a U.S.O. show. And now, thanks to Comic Book Movie, we finally have our first (low-quality) glimpse of Chris Evans in the slightly embarrassing-looking outfit, backed by a line of star-spangled showgirls.

The Joe Johnston-directed film, which opens on July 22, also stars Hayley Atwell, Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan, Toby Jones, Stanley Tucci, Richard Armitage, Natalie Dormer, Dominic Cooper, Neal McDonough and Samuel L. Jackson.

Captain America: The First Avenger will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving).
