Iris West is Wally's aunt on his father's side, right? So Ira West is Wally's grandfather, right? And Ira West is still alive, right (Wally even saw him during Born to Run)? So, while at the time, Wally said he didn't like talking to him because it reminded him of his dead aunt...
A. He knows his aunt isn't dead anymore
B. Even so, your aunt dying means you should ignore your grandfather when he lives in the same city (or the city next door, whichever)?
Wally doesn't ever talk to (or about) his grandfather. Not when he was getting married, and not when his wife gave birth to Ira's great-grandchildren.
Isn't that pretty weird?
