When it comes to romance manhwa set in a school, the main characters are usually students, and so it is nice to see a school romantic comedy about teachers. In A Good Day to be a Dog, the romance developing between Seon Jin and Hana is so natural -- they take their time in understanding each other’s trauma and imperfections. Although this digital manhwa is listed under the romance genre, there isn’t much romance happening except for Il-Deung's unrequited love for Yun Ai and Yun Ai’s slight affection for Lee. Instead, the love that is showcased in this series is the self-love that Yun Ai and Il-Deung discover within themselves. Annarasumanara delivers a fantastical and sublime story about self-discovery in a depressing society run by heartless “adults.”
