The Jedi of Star Wars are among the most powerful warriors in science-fiction. All of them can use the Force to accomplish remarkable feats, but the most powerful members of the Order have mastered the mystical power to such a degree that they have become invulnerable in many ways. The greatest Jedi are undefeatable close combat specialists: they are fast, precise and their lightsabers can cut through anything.

Their mastery of the Force allows them to shield themselves from any physical attacks, heal mortal wounds, sense incoming danger, physically alter their environment, damage and control the enemy in a variety of ways. Their popularity begs the question if some of the most powerful comic-book superheroes can hold their own against them. So here are some heroes from DC who have the powers to defeat the best of the Jedi and a few that have no chance for victory against their formidable skills.

10 Doctor Manhattan: Capable of Winning

Doctor Manhattan's character is actually similar to the model of behavior that the Jedi are preaching - passionless, focused, difficult to distract. Having turned into a god-like creature, which is so powerful that he is literally bored of Earth, the most destructive of the Watchmen can put to good use his Precognition (the ability to see the future), Energy Projection (generating powerful electrical energies and blasts) and Intangibility (attacks pass right through him) abilities, to name a few, to not just challenge the best of the Knights but completely overpower them.

Out of these, Energy Projection is the most terrifying ability - allowing him to blow individuals up instantly. Whether a Jedi would be quick enough to counter that can definitely be a subject of deliberation.

9 Batman: No Chance to Win

For all of his technology, intelligence and gadgetry, The Dark Knight, beloved as he is by his superhero colleagues and fans alike, wouldn't stand a chance against a Jedi at the peak of his or her powers. He can fly but unlike Superman and Shazam and all the other DC god-like individuals, it is not self-generated, meaning that a simple Force pull will disrupt Batman's flight. Bruce has nothing to counter the Force with and his machines and devices can be easily destroyed either by the mystical power or by a lightsaber.

8 Superman: Capable of Winning

Noble, caring and protective, Kal-El is one superhero who would befriend every single Jedi out there, given the chance. He will certainly not have that good of a time in a fight against the Order's most powerful members. His super-speed and physical advantages like frost breath, heat vision and superhuman strength can all be countered by a skilled Force-user.

The two weapons, which give Superman the edge are his invulnerability to almost any and all strikes (that possibly includes a lightsaber) and most importantly - his Super Flare ability, which produces a powerful solar blast. The lore of Star Wars has never described a Force-user whose powers can alter or deform entire planets.

7 Wonder Woman: No Chance to Win

Diana is a formidable warrior with superhuman strength, being able to fly and move at enhanced speeds. Wonder Woman might very well be fully capable of going toe to toe with a skilled lightsaber duelist and in all likelihood - take him down, provided that the Jedi has no knowledge of the Force.

Princess Diana could use her shield and sword to protect herself from projectiles and Force pushes and if necessary - to flee by flying but a powerful Force-user would apply it on her body and at that point, she would be unable to move with no means of retaliation.

6 Shazam: Capable of Winning

Shazam using his magical lightning

Only warriors with god-like abilities can successfully hold their own in a battle versus the most powerful Jedi and Shazam certainly fits that criteria, being able to harness the power of Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury simultaneously. As strong and as indestructible as Superman, Billy Batson doesn't have to worry about surviving the attacks of a Knight.

The question is whether he can successfully strike back. He could combine his super-speed and Zeus' lightning. The Jedi are capable of protecting themselves with the Force at all times but they don't have super fast reflexes, meaning that Shazam could strike before the Knight has raised his or her Force shield.

5 The Flash: No Chance to Win (Stalemate)

Barry Allen is a superpowered being, whose overall strength is comparable to DC's most powerful heroes in many ways. The fastest creature in the universe, The Flash can evade Force attacks because he is moving at a speed faster than human thoughts and a Jedi would be too slow to call upon the Force in time.

The disadvantage of Barry comes from his lack of strength. He might be able to deliver a single superpowered hit. As soon as a Jedi with peak powers is alerted of the foe's presence, he will call upon the Force to heal himself and become invulnerable through Force Shields. From then on, Allen can only hope for a stalemate and he should not slow down under any circumstances.

4 Supergirl: Capable of Winning

The cousin of Kal-El, Kara would find family dinners extremely uncomfortable if she wasn't able to mirror his accomplishment in defeating a powerful Jedi but she has everything it takes to pull it off. Supergirl is weaker than Superman because she has spent less time on Earth and has absorbed less energy from the Sun.

Both, however, are infinitely stronger than a Force-user (in terms of muscular strength) so that makes no difference. Supergirl is known to be able to do something that the Man of Steel can't and that is to protect herself with special impenetrable crystals. There is no record of her using Superman's Solar Flare so a battle with a Jedi would be safer but more difficult to win.

3 Aquaman: No Chance to Win

Arthur Curry has the power of the oceans behind him and is a superhuman himself with his strength, speed and durability being more than a match for a formidably gifted Jedi but just like in the case of Wonder Woman and Batman, Aquaman doesn't have an appropriate reponse to the Force. As long as the Force-user can track down the King of Atlantis and keep him in his sights, Curry is vulnerable to the mystical power. Arthur will become immobile and he can't fly or move quickly like Wonder Woman to oppose the pull of the Force if he is not underwater.

2 Orion: Capable of Winning

The second son of Darkseid possesses the Kryptonians' general capabilities - enhanced strength, speed, durability and he can fly through his priceless Astro-Harness artifact. That being said, Orion has a couple of more tricks up his sleeve, which can allow him to destroy a Jedi, regardless of his Force prowess.

One of those is his Astro Force, which enables him to self-heal, control both matter and energy and create immense force fields. Furthermore, the Astro-Harness is capable of Astro-Force Projection, which performs attacks that can cut through any and all defenses. Ultimately, Orion has divine defensive and attacking skills, which don't give him total superiority but are quite enough.

1 Green Lantern: No Chance

The powers of Green Lantern come from the Power ring, which grants the wearer two main abilities - flight and the creation of any and all objects (usually weapons). The superhero controls these ring-crafted weapons telekinetically meaning that any and all physical attacks by a Jedi can be blocked. But when a Jedi uses the Force, Green Lantern has nothing to protect himself with.

Worst of all, the DC superhero can not self-heal. It is only a matter of time before the wielder of the galaxy far far away's mystical power renders the wearer of the Power ring immovable and helpless.
