Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's run on Batman has influenced a number of projects, including video games and television shows. Japanese artist Hiroki Nara is the latest to draw upon this run, creating a fan made 3D trailer for the "Death of the Family" story arc.Nara posted the trailer to Twitter, thanking Snyder and Capullo for their work on "Death in the Family." Nara served as the art director and created the 3D models for the trailer, with Takuro Togo and Sho Koyanagi serving as the cutscene animator and rigging artist respectively. The trailer recreates scenes from the storyline, including the Joker assaulting Alfred Pennyworth and coming face to face with Batman. In addition, the 3D models present a disturbing look at the Joker's rotting sewn-on face and pinpoint pupils.RELATED: Scott Snyder Reveals His Role in Cutting Off The Joker's Face

In "Death of the Family," the Joker returns and targets Batman's allies, believing that by severing these bonds he will make the Dark Knight stronger. Batman rejects the Joker's philosophy, which causes the Clown Prince of Crime to finally decide to end their rivalry in the subsequent story arc "Endgame."

Snyder and Capullo began working on Batman during the New 52 era of DC Comics, with their work on the Dark Knight becoming a critical and commercial success. The two would later work on Dark Nights: Metal and Dark Nights: Death Metal, which spun out of events in their Batman run.
