3A Toys ushers in its own age of Ultron with menacing new figure

Following a handful of teasers, 3A Toys has at last fully revealed its 1/6th-scale Ultron collectible figure, designed by Ashley Wood.

"I have to say, I’m super-proud of him," Wood wrote in 3A's latest newsletter. "I aggravated many making sure it was how I wanted it. I’m lucky to have very patient pros working to help me realize my vision."

On sale beginning Thursday at Bambalandstore.com, Ultron (like Iron Man and Doctor Doom before it) is available in multiple versions: Classic Edition, Stealth Edition and Ghost Edition. Standing 13 inches tall, the fully posable figure features articulated fingers, and LED-illuminated eyes, mouth, chest and back thrusters. There's also an exclusive red LED version.

The price? A cool $220, which includes worldwide shipping.
