Our pal Seth Hahne, of GoodOKBad fame, came up with this 31 Days of Comics challenge, one of those things where each day of the month you're given a different category that you then make a choice of a comic to fill that category. I figured it would be a fun bit to do, so here we are! Click here to see each of the categories so far!

We continue with Day 24, which is A Comic That Made You Laugh.

Read on for my pick and then you can share yours!

Michael Kupperman's Tales Designed to Thrizzle is one of those books where you might really need to see it to believe it.

Every issue Kupperman delivers thirty-odd pages of the most delightfully absurd ideas that you can imagine, to the point where I don't know if simply describing the comic would do it justice.

Every issue is roughly as good as each other, so I'll just show you some samples from the first issue.

The first issue is split into different sections - a kids section, an adults section and an old people section. It is strictly enforced...

Here's one of his most "out there" jokes period, and this is a guy who does lots of "out there" jokes!

Here are probably his two most famous characters, Snake and Bacon, who go on all sorts of adventures (they're tough cops in the Dirty Harry style sometimes, but here they are time travelers trying to figure out who killed Casanova) while, of course, only saying "Ssss" (from the Snake) and describing the many attributes of bacon (from the Bacon)

Trippy.

Brace yourself for...Pagus!

Finally, I'm glad that this debate is finally finished...

Kupperman is awesome.

The most recent issue of Tales Designed to Thrizzle might actually be the funniest yet. It included the Eisner Award winning short story about the TRUE story behind man's first journey to the Moon (it involves all sorts of crazy shit, including Lt. Columbo being sent to the moon to investigate a murder aboard Apollo 11)
