As COVID-19 keeps large events shut down, NBC is approaching its upfront presentation in a new way by hosting an hour-long, commercial-free 30 Rock reunion special.

The remote event will see the original cast — Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski and Jack McBrayer — along with some supporting and recurring cast reprise their roles from the hit comedy. In the special, the actors as their characters will tout the upcoming NBC programming for the 2020-21 season. Along with the 30 Rock cast, there will be guest appearances from all NBCUniversal platforms.

In a joint statement, executive producers Fey and Robert Carlock were excited to return to NBC. "We're all happy to have this excuse to (remotely) work together again for NBC," they stated. "To quote Kenneth the Page, there are only two things we love in this world, television and everyone."

The 30 Rock reunion marks the second cast reunion of a classic NBC series after Parks and Recreation reunited in April for an all-new episode for charity.

The 30 Rock upfront reunion special will air on July 16 at 8 p.m. Eastern on NBC. Rebroadcasts will air on USA, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, SYFY, CNBC and Peacock on July 17 at 9 p.m.
