3 Chicks Review Comics - Episode 015

Reminder! We’ve moved the 3 Chicks Podcast to Mondays at noon and it will run alternating weeks with She Has No Head!, so this week – a new episode of 3 Chicks, and next week – a new She Has No Head!, then back here again on April 25th for another episode of 3 Chicks…follow CSBG and Kelly on twitter, so that you never miss a post or podcast!

Inside this episode! We take a look at Scott Snyder and Francesco Francavilla's Detective Comics #875 from last week. We also look at Heroes For Hire #5 from this past week - the end of the first arc which resolves Misty Knight's current Puppet Master situation.  How do they stack up?  For our Hot Topic we discuss the upcoming DC Flashpoint Event and the alarming material that continues to show up in covers and solicits, not to mention the lack of women involved on a creative level.  Maddy picks this week’s CHICK OF THE WEEK, and it's a character that we'd love to see get more play . Plus everyone’s pick of the week.

Episode links!: Some choice 'chick of the week' reading; Can this one book redeem Flashpoint's take on ladies; "satiate Diana's fury" is never a sentence that makes a lot of sense; this is NOT the way to hide the identity of a character for a solicit, this IS the way to hide the identity of a character for a solicit; Heroes For Hire #5 Review; Superheroes Are Girls Too.

3 Chicks Review Comics is a podcast featuring female comics lovers and bloggers Sue from DC Women Kicking Ass, and Maddy from When Fangirls Attack! along with me, Kelly Thompson. Tune in weekly to CSBG every other Monday at noon as we review comics, and discuss hot topics of the week. Don’t forget to subscribe to our cast via iTunes, so you never miss an episode.  In addition to the blogs above, you can also follow us all on twitter as well: Kelly, Maddy, and Sue. Special thanks to Nik Furious for our awesome 3 Chicks theme song.
