There's a new Iron Man coming to the Marvel Universe next year and one Pepper Potts doesn't seem to be too happy about it.

Marvel Comics has released its advance solicitation information for its titles scheduled to go on sale March 2020, including the debut of a new limited series starring Pepper's armored alter-ego, Rescue. Written by Dana Schwartz and illustrated by Jacen Burrows, the two-issue miniseries has Pepper suit back up to save Tony Stark's legacy in the face of the arrival of Iron Man 2020. The standard cover, illustrated by Paco Medina, and advance solicit information are below.

  • Pepper Potts moved on from Tony Stark. She’s getting her life together, finding her place in the world.
  • Unfortunately, that’s exactly when Tony Stark decides it’s time for a full-tilt, full-blown meltdown. And if Pepper can’t suit up and save the day, Tony is toast.

Launching next month, Iron Man 2020 has artificial intelligence and humanity form an uneasy coexistence on Earth as Tony's long-lost brother Arno takes on the mantle of Iron Man. Judging by Pepper's reaction, not everyone is thrilled about a new figure assuming the Armored Avenger's role.
