The concept is this - for the Ides of March, I tell you things that I'd have done in certain comics!!

But don't worry, I'm not talking about simple 20/20 hindsight things like pick a famous bad storyline and just say, "I wouldn't have done that" or "You know that cool character? I wouldn't have killed him/her."

No, I mean more like tweaks and nudges, stuff like that. Not major changes.

You can check out past years' I'ds to see what I'm talking about, or just read on!

RELATED: The 2018 I'ds of March!

This year, I've asked my fellow CBR writers to share some I'ds of their own! I'll mix theirs in with mine!

I'D USE THE WAR OF REALMS TO SPOTLIGHT BLACK KNIGHT

With the rumors abounding that Black Knight might make an appearance in Avengers: Endgame (presumably via some sort of time travel storyline), I think the upcoming War of Realms crossover would be a perfect place to bring Black Knight back into a prominent place in the Marvel Universe. After all, in a war between magical realms, a dude with a powerful magical sword would be a lot of help, right?

I'D MAKE LOIS LANE THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF OF THE DAILY PLANET

Renaldo Matadeen says, "We need news we trust more than ever, now; and it'd be interesting to see her straggle this line of morals and ethics in journalism. Being a reporter means you can hunt or ignore as you see fit, but as an editor you have oversight there that makes you a news dictator and not a foot-soldier."

I'D INTRODUCE A NICK KATZENBERG-ESQUE CHARACTER TO THE SPIDER-MAN TITLES

In my recent article about how Peter Parker's journalistic ethics have never been particularly good (while they have been downright TERRIBLE at times), I was thinking about the old Spider-Man character, Nick Katzenberg, the slimy paparazzo who got a gig at the Daily Bugle. Katzenberg was obviously a caricature of a personality, but I was thinking that it would be interesting to see a less offensive character introduced who DID skirt the edges of morality like Peter did so that Peter could contrast his own past with what would likely be a negative reaction to the actions of this other character. Peter complaining about journalistic ethics would be quite interesting, no? But make it a real argument and not just "ugh, this guy is gross."

I'D MAKE A NEW X-MEN ANIMATED SERIES

Scoot Allen says, "While its risky considering any potential X-series would probably air on Disney XD and be geared towards a younger audience, it's also been a decade now since Wolverine and the X-Men aired so we're due a new series."

I'D LOVE A RUSSELL DAUTERMAN CREATOR-OWNED SERIES

Speaking of The War of Realms, Russell Dauterman continues to be absolutely amazing.

If Dauterman wants to draw Marvel Comics for the rest of his career, I'm all for it. He's an astonishingly good artist. However, for a guy who is obviously SO creative, I would love to see him do a creator-owned work and see what could happen if he just let all of that creativity out on an independent project. You know how great Fiona Staples is on Saga? Wouldn't Dauterman be really good on something similar? Something where he could just design new characters and new locales? Boy, it would be so good!

I'D MAKE NARUSASU CANON

Reuben Baron says, " Come on, their blood formed a heart in the third to last chapter of Naruto! If the Boruto couples are too established to be undone, at least admit those are sham marriages and give Naruto and Sasuke the secret Brokeback Mountain affair a gagillion shippers are already imagining."

I'D DO A REBIRTH VERSION OF AGENT LIBERTY

Agent Liberty is being used on the Supergirl TV series right now and while I don't know that I would think that that precise story would translate particularly well to modern comic books, I think the conspiracy angle behind the original Agent Liberty project would be right up Brian Michael Bendis' alley on the Superman titles! So re-introducing Agent Liberty into the Rebirth era could be a lot of fun.

I'D INTRODUCE THE X-MEN TO THE MCU IN A DISNEY+ SERIES

Christopher Baggett says, "Nearly 20 years of movies, and we still didn't really get to know film versions of these characters. If they're going to reboot, I'd love to see an A+ production team make a character driven Disney+ series before introducing the X-Men to the film universe via a Secret Wars or Avengers vs X-Men type film."

I'D FINISH THE SANDMAN MYSTERY THEATRE SERIES OF COLLECTIONS

Vincent Pasquill says, "I'd finish reprinting Sandman Mystery Theatre but that's more personal." I'ds are all about personal!

I'D MAKE SURE THE SUICIDE SQUAD COLLECTION FINISHES

On that same note, while it is currently scheduled to come out in May, I just want to hope to everything that is good that the final Suicide Squad trade collection actually DOES come out! It's been a while since they've started collecting the whole Ostrander series and I want the rest of the world to be able to read his whole run in a book form.

I'D INTRODUCE ANDREA BEAUMONT INTO THE BATCAT LOVE STORY

Sergio Pereira says, "Tom King said the whole BatCat thing will wrap up when he's done with the series. Well, what better way to put a spanner in the works by throwing Andrea Beaumont into the mix?"

I'D INCREASE MARY JANE'S ROLE IN AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

Spider-Man and MJ kissing

Narayan Liu says, "She and Pete have been back together for about 17 issues now and it's beginning to feel like that entire gap just never happened, like MJ hasn't changed at all despite everything that has happened since One More Day."

Okay, those are MY (and other CBR writers') "I'ds" of March, so now you folks share YOUR I'ds in the comments section! Or on Twitter. Or on Facebook. Wherever you feel like, really.

In an hour, we'll have a Line it is Drawn "I'ds of March," as well!
