Today, I'll go with the introduction of the Joker in Batman #1 by Bill Finger, Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson.

That's stunning. This was a moody, evocative and thrilling first use of the Joker. It was no wonder that the editor of the comic said, "Yeah, no, you're not killing this guy off right away. This is lightning in a bottle right here."
