Actor and rapper Ludacris "Chris" Bridges, who portrays Tej Parker in the Fast and Furious franchise, called 2 Fast 2 Furious the best movie sequel title of all time.

"Off the top of my head, I think there is one that is better," Bridges said during an episode of EW's Binge: The Fast Saga podcast. "If it comes to me during this podcast, I will let you know. But it's up there with the best of them, but I don't know if it's the absolute best title."

"I'm sitting here. I was trying to be like, 'Maybe there's a better title,'" Bridges continued. "But now that I think about it, you might be on to something, because when people think about sequels, they try to add that 2 to it because of it. So, it may have set a precedent instead of [the] whole trend."

The entertainer eventually conceded, "So, I take everything back. You were right. 2 Fast 2 Furious is the best title of all movies, because it set the stage for a whole bunch of other sequels, and people putting 2 in the damn second name."

Despite portraying Tej for over a decade, Bridges shared he's surprised the franchise will end with 11 films. In November 2020, he said, "I'm not at all sad about it. I came out in 2 Fast 2 Furious. We never knew we'd get a callback for five, six, seven, eight, nine and now they're telling me there's gonna be 2 more? I'm happy. To hell with being sad."

Bridges will reprise his role as tech genius Tej in the upcoming film F9. The synopsis for F9 reads,

Dom Toretto is leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. This time, that threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past if he’s going to save those he loves most. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob.

Directed by Justin Lin, F9 stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, John Cena, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren, Kurt Russell and Charlize Theron. The film arrives in theaters June 25.
