With only two episodes left, The 100 is quickly moving towards its series finale as the long-running CW program unveils a promo for its penultimate episode.
Ominously titled "The Dying of the Light," the promo has Madi Griffin under the Disciples' captivity, tortured and studied to see if her memories contain any secrets regarding the Anomaly Stones and how to unlock the next stage in human evolution. As the Disciples storm Earth with a full arsenal of laser weapons, Madi's mother Clarke and Octavia Blake are seen leading an epic rescue mission.
Clarke and her friends recently discovered Earth had recovered sufficiently to support life once again, after enduring a second nuclear apocalypse over a century ago. This happy discovery was short-lived, however, when Disciple leader Bill Cadogan enlisted Sheidheda to help him track down Madi.
First premiering in 2014, The 100 comes to an end on Sept. 30, with its final episode featuring humanity's prophesied last war as the last remnants of the species fight to survive, while Cadogan commands his army subjugate the people to his will and worldview by any means necessary.
The 100 stars Eliza Taylor, Marie Avgeropoulos, Bob Morley, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Tasya Teles, Shannon Kook and J.R. Bourne. The series airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
