"100 Girls" Coming to Arcana Studios.

Official Press Release

This August, Arcana Studio's ranks will swell as writer Adam Gallardo (Star Wars Tales, Star Wars Infinities ˜ Return of the Jedi) and artist Todd Demong (Star Wars Tales, Hell, GoBoy 7) bring you 100 Girls!

Currently solicited in Previews this exceptional book is Spotlighted AND Certified Cool. Already being praised as Arcana's next break-through we caught up with Adam and he had this to say:

"Sylvia Mark is like a lot of other thirteen year-old girls, maybe just a little smarter and a lot stronger than most. But she also has strange prophetic dreams and men seem to be following her everywhere she goes. Sylvia doesn't know it, but a terrible new power is about to awaken inside her -- then she'll discover just how different she truly is."

"100 Girls began life as an on-line comic on the Dark Horse Comics web site where, despite little advertising, it developed a following." The series' writer, Adam Gallardo tells us that he is happy to finally see the comic in print.

"Todd and I have been working on this book for about a year-an-a-half now," he said, "so it'll be very gratifying to finally hold an actual comic in my hands."

He's also happy that Arcana Studios are the people who are making his idea a reality.

"Given the successes of their first two efforts, Ant and Kade," Gallardo said, "I‚m very confident that they'll be able to do the same for 100 Girls."

Gallardo isn't the only one happy about these developments. Sean O'Reilly, Arcana's publisher, had this to say about the latest addition to the company's lineup: "I've admired Adam's and Todd's work for quite some time, and when I was talking with Todd and realized that no one had 100 Girls...well I knew Arcana had to get it. It is an incredible story that is totally unique and it really comes alive with the amazing art. After reading the first book, I can't wait to read the rest. It's great to be working with these guys and they've blended right into the Arcana team!"

100 Girls #1 will be available in August and will retail for $2.95.
