Viewers who tuned in last night for the midseason premiere of "The Walking Dead" also got a first look at this tense new promo for "10 Cloverfield Lane."

It arrives a month after JJ Abrams and company shocked everyone with the surprise teaser for the film -- described by the producer as "a blood relative of ‘Cloverfield'" -- which was shot by director Dan Trachtenberg under the title "Valencia."

While the teaser worked to establish a picture of tranquil family life (only to abruptly upend it), this spot is all about tension, as Mary Elizabeth Winstead awakens to find herself the prisoner -- or is it patient? -- of John Goodman, who claims to be keeping her and John Gallagher Jr. safe from ... something outside the bunker. "Everyone outside of here is dead," he says.

"10 Cloverfield Lane" opens March 11.
