The hit '90s sitcom was turned into a fan-made film in 2019 and later into a reboot titled Bel-Air on Peacock. The reboot stars Jabari Banks as 16-year-old Will Smith in a modernized and more dramatic retelling of the original show's plot. Bel-Air debuted its first three episodes on February 13 and was renewed for a second season. Smith was heavily involved in the creation of the reboot so maybe it won't be disastrous after all.

While not technically a reboot, How I Met Your Father was ordered as a sequel series which premiered on Hulu on January 13. The show features several stars, like Hilary Duff and Josh Peck. The series was already renewed for a second season last month.

Quantum Leap was an NBC sci-fi series that aired for five seasons from 1989 until 1993. The show starred Scott Bakula as Dr. Sam Beckett, an acclaimed quantum physicist who looks up to Albert Einstein. Sam consistently leaps through time and is responsible for "making right what once went wrong" during his adventures. NBC ordered a reboot of the '90s series with cast members Raymond Lee and Ernie Hudson. The release date for the Quantum Leap reboot has not yet been announced, or if past cast members will return.

4 Battlestar Galactica Has Received Many Reboots

Battlestar Galactica began with a television series in the late '70s after Glen A. Larson created the science fiction franchise. There have since been many adaptations of the original work into mediums like comic books, board games and video games. There was also a popular reboot that aired in the early 2000s of the Sci-Fi Channel.

In 2019, NBC announced a series reboot was in development along with a film adaptation. Simon Kinberg commented that both reboots hope for a production start date late this year, but there are no release dates yet.

Night Court is another NBC sitcom that aired nine seasons from 1984 to 1992. The series starred Harry Anderson as a judge named Harry Stone, who oversaw the night shift of a Manhattan courtroom. The show was ordered for a reboot that stars Melissa Rauch, known for her role as Bernadette in The Big Bang Theory, as Abby Stone, Harry's daughter. Night Court will premiere sometime during the 2022 to 2023 TV lineup.

Joe Millionaire is a reality dating show that initially ran two seasons on Fox in 2003. Season 1 pulled in many viewers, but Season 2 was not as lucky. The series was put on the back burner until its revival titled Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer premiered in January 2022.
