She’s an obvious choice to portray Wonder Woman. A Wonder Woman film had been in developmental hell for years. During that time, Jolie was in consideration for the role. She has the talent and action role background to portray Diana Prince/Wonder Woman.

In 2004, Gal Gadot made headlines when she won the Miss Israel beauty pageant. She was only 18 at the time that she won the crown. Gadot then represented Israel in the 2004 Miss Universe pageant. She didn’t think she was going to win Miss Israel and was now afraid that she might win Miss Universe. In order to avoid winning she purposely threw the competition. She said, “I’m a really good girl, but because I was afraid I’m going to win again… So I came down late for rehearsals, I wasn’t wearing the right evening gowns for breakfast.” She probably wouldn't have made a good Miss Universe. Audiences and critics unanimously loved Gal Gadot's performance as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. She brought out the character's courage and strength in a way not done before. Gadot captured the true essence of the character. However, fans might not realize just how much of a Wonder Woman she really is. During reshoots, Gadot was five months pregnant with her second child. A green triangle was used to hide her baby bump and edited out in post-production. However, she did do some light fight choreography in the cold weather. Several actresses have experience portraying a character from the comic book world. Katie McGrath has all the tools and acting experience to take on a role like Wonder Woman. In fact, if Gal Gadot ever needs a break McGrath would be perfect for the role. She currently portrays Lena Luthor in Supergirl and CW’s Arrowverse. McGrath also starred in Merlin, Dracula, and Slasher. She has a lot of experience in action and horror roles. Additionally, McGrath appeared in Jurassic World and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. Many fans and critics believe McGrath would be an excellent Wonder Woman.

Gal Gadot enjoys working out and trains intensely. She stepped up her workout for her role in Wonder Woman. It’s a very physically demanding role that she more than prepared for. Prior to landing the role, Gadot enjoyed doing yoga, TRX, and Pilates. Six months prior to shooting she increased her workouts. She took on a second personal trainer to get in peak physical condition for the role. Gadot did two hours of gym work, two hours of Martial Arts training and 90 minutes of horseback riding. She said, “When you portray power and strength on screen, you just can’t fake it. You have to be prepared.”
