Have you ever been asked what superpower you would like to have? A research study conducted by Keith W. Beard, Psy.D. (professor of psychology, Marshall University), April Fugett, Ph.D. (associate professor of psychology, Marshall University), and Josh Carter, Britani Black, and Elijah Wise (doctoral students, Marshall University) examined how your choice of superpower may influence occupational interest and career choices. The choice of a superpower was compared to six occupational themes/categories. Certain superpowers are uniquely associated with one of the six occupational themes, suggesting that certain superpowers are frequently desired by people in particular career areas. Showtime Presents the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards

The 27th annual Eisner Awards (the "Oscars" of the comics industry) honor comics creators and works in 29 categories. Presenters will include singer-songwriter/actor/comics fan Ne-Yo (Non-Fiction); actors Shane West (Salem, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen), Tara Ochs (Selma), Megan Hayes (Hunger Games), J. Michael Trautman (Shameless), Katrina Law (Arrow, Spartacus), Kandyse McClure (Battlestar Galactica, Smallville), and Tahmoe Penkett (Battlestar Galactica, Smallville); British talk show host/comics writer Jonathan Ross, nominees Michael and Laura Allred (iZombie, Silver Surfer); Milestone Media co-founder Michael Davis; Hall of Fame cartoonist Sergio Aragones (Groo, MAD); writer/artist Bill Morrison (Bongo Comics), plus some special surprises! Other prestigious awards to be given out include the Russ Manning Promising Newcomer Award, the Bob Clampett Humanitarian Award, the Bill Finger Award for Excellence in Comics Writing, and the Will Eisner Spirit of Comics Retailer Award.
