Once a publisher striving for mainstream respect, Marvel's golden touch at the multiplex has made them such a preeminent entertainment company that today when they make corporate changes at the top, all of Hollywood stops to take notice.

Marvel Entertainment has announced that chief financial officer Chris Acquaviva will step down and that Rob Steffens, who had an eleven-year career at Marvel before leaving in 2013, has been hired to return to the company in Acquaviva's executive finance role, according to Variety.

Acquaviva is said to be leaving the company amicably for new ventures, and will work closely through the transition with Steffens, who had been serving as CFO and COO for Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video since his departure from the House of Ideas.

The returning Steffens will report to Marvel chairman Isaac Perlmutter. Marvel also announced the hiring of former Paramount exec Mindy Hamilton, who will serve as senior vice president of global partnerships at Marvel Studios, and report to Steffens.
