Fox's "X-Men" pilot just found another lead. Deadline reports that "Incorporated's" Sean Teale will star opposite Stephen Moyer in the Fox’s upcoming live-action pilot based on the “X-Men” franchise. Teale will also join Blair Redford and Jamie Chung in series.

According to the report, Teale will play Marcos Diaz/Eclipse, who is described as,

A natural rebel compelled by circumstances to cooperate with others, Marcos is a passionate and strong-willed fighter who sometimes lets his emotions overrule reason. His alter ego, Eclipse, who possesses the ability to absorb and manipulate photons, is a newly created mutant for this expanded X-Men universe.

In addition to "Incorporated," Teale has appeared in "Skins," "Reign" and "We Are the Freaks."

The series will reportedly focus “…on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. The show appears particularly timely, dealing with the plight of minorities in society.”

A partnership between Fox and Marvel Television, the “X-Men”-based drama was reported after the cancellation of a “Hellfire” project that was to be written by scribes of an early “Star Trek Beyond” script, Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne. "Burn Notice's" Matt Nix, longtime "X-Men" producer Bryan Singer and Fox’s Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner, along with Marvel Television’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory, are producing the project.
