It appears that Jessica Jones alum Wil Traval simply can't get enough of the Marvel Universe, as the actor took to Twitter a few weeks back to tease a role in Fox's upcoming blockbuster, X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

Traval, who is best known for his role as Will Simpson (aka Nuke) in the inaugural season of Jessica Jones, did not reveal which character he might be playing in the film, but seemed obviously ecstatic about the prospect of joining Dark Phoenix's ensemble -- one that is seemingly growing more robust by the second.

Just yesterday, rumors surfaced stating that the film's casting department is also circling high-profile actresses Angelina Jolie and Jessica Chastain for unspecified roles. Either one would be a massive get for the film, which is also expected to feature returning franchise alum Michael Fassbender as Magneto and potentially Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is the studio's second attempt at bringing the beloved Marvel Comics arc to the big screen, as Brett Ratner's X-Men: The Last Stand resurrected Jean Grey to less-than-stellar results. Continuing the trend of X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix is expected to jump ahead another decade, meaning the film's setting is likely to be the 1990s.

Rumored to be directed by franchise veteran Simon Kinberg, X-Men: Dark Phoenix will see Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner reprise her X-Men: Apocalypse role as a young Jean Grey. Filming is expected to begin in June in Montreal, with a release scheduled for Nov. 2, 2018.
