Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Apocalyspe" features a whole new team of mutants going up against one of the biggest threats the franchise has ever seen: Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen. With the return of classic X-characters like Cyclops, Nightcrawler and Jean Grey, this sequel to 2014's "X-Men: Days of Future Past" can be seen as the birth of an all-new team of X-Men. Now, Empire has shared a photo from the film of the team -- and it includes one surprising addition.

The image features director Singer surrounded by the X-Men: Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Professor X (James McAvoy), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Quicksilver (Evan Peters) and... Storm?

Yes, Alexandra Shipp's Horseman is shown in this team photo with the X-Men. Empire calls out the strange addition, writing that "Singer, Storm and Mystique temporarily join Charles' gang" to describe the photo. But it's worth pointing out that Storm -- along with the rest of the mutants -- is wearing a totally new look. It looks like Storm is wearing an X-Men team uniform, considering how similar it looks to Quicksilver's suit (which has not been seen before). The entire team looks to be wearing suits that are different from the black body armor they've been shown wearing in the trailers; Nightcrawler is notably wearing a suit that looks a lot like his comic book costume.

There's another picture of the black suits in action, though, and it features Jean and Nightcrawler.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" opens on May 27, 2016.
