The problem with rumors is how ethereal they always are — the latest one claims that the title for the televised adventures of young Arthur Curry will be called “Mercy Reef.”
Could we be just six months away from seeing a teaser trailer? That’s what they’re saying over at JoBlo.com. The site said, “In future trailer news, tentatively look for the first teaser from ‘SPIDER-MAN 3’ attached to ‘TALLADEGA NIGHTS.'”
Hollywood North Report checked out a recent issue of Fangoria and saw that “shooting began February 1 at Tokyo’s Nikkatsu Studio on the film adaptation of Takeshi Obata’s ‘Death Note,’ a Warner Bros production, directed by Shusuke Kaneko. Tatsuya Fujiwara, noted for Kinji Fukasaku’s ‘Battle Royale,’ will play the lead.” The film will be released in Japan this June.

Aside from bashing any idea of Michael Keaton as the Joker, Batman On Film rumormongers about casting ideas, including Bob Hoskins as mob boss Sal Maroni (not the Penguin, as previously believed), and cameos from a certain Dr. Quinzel and more potential spoilers.
In a Q&A with IGN.com, writer David Hayter said, “This year, I am focusing on original projects – a big television fantasy pilot, and a high-concept feature – which are not finished yet, so I can’t tell you what they are. I also have a number of scripts going into production, most notably ‘Watchmen’ at Warner Bros. That is my dream project, and the one I am most looking forward to.”
