Uncanny X-Force writer Rick Remender offered a behind-the-scenes look as some character designs for the X-Force of Tomorrow.

The writer, who penned Uncanny X-Force for Marvel Comics in the early 2010s, shared artist Julian Tedesco's designs for the future's militaristic Mutant team in a post to Twitter. "Some crazy X-Force of Tomorrow designs by [Julian Tedesco]."

From the images Remender posted, the designs seem to be for the version of the X-Force introduced in 2012's Uncanny X-Force #28 -- part of the "Final Execution" story arc. The designs to mix the black-and-white motif of the Punisher (or Commander Castle in the X-Force of Tomorrow) with a military design influenced by fascist regimes. Commander Castle, Deadpool,  Magistrate Braddock, Hope Summers, General Nathan Summers and Wolverine give a menacing yet stoic appeal in conjunction with their world.

Hailing from Earth-12928 The X-Force of Tomorrow was formed by Wolverine to defeat Evan Sabahnur after the latter became Apocalypse. After defeating Sabahnur, the X-Force were elected the new rulers of Earth. In order to prevent a similar event in the future, The X-Force of the Future began killing people as soon as they decided to commit a crime, effectively making them the governors of a fascist police state. This alternate version of the team appeared in only two issues, with their final appearance coming in Uncanny X-Force #29.
