Little is official, but it is appearing more and more like Warner Bros. has begun filming 2017's "Wonder Woman," with Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, in a movie that is, at least in part, set in a time other than the current day.

French actor Saïd Taghmaoui, who fans may remember for his role as Caesar in season 4 of ABC's "Lost," shared photos via social media evidencing that he has joined Chris Pine as supporting cast alongside star Gal Gadot in "Wonder Woman."

Pictures uploaded to (but since deleted from) Instagram, Facebook and Twitter make a strong case that principal photography has begun on the film, which Warner Bros. has scheduled for a June 23, 2017 release. One photograph captured a row of three chairs bearing the names of three actors: Taghmaoui himself, who had not previously been announced as part of the cast; Chris Pine, who had confirmed involvement with the movie but not whether it would be in the expected role of Trevor, though as the oldest flame in Princess Diana's canon it stands to logical reason; and Gal Gadot, the Israeli-born actress and model who will make her debut as the classic DC superhero in March's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Either the three actors happen to be working together on another project, or they and director Patty Jenkins have begun work on their Amazonian task.

In the other photo, Taghmaoui and Pine are seen in timelessly debonair outfits that certainly could have looked appropriate when Wonder Woman made her 1941 comicbook debut, and the stylish, perhaps even vintage look, may lend credence to certain online plot/setting speculation.

As dashing as the actors appeared, Wonder Woman's true moment-of-lassoed-truth will come when the character makes her big-screen debut in March's "Batman v Superman." Gal Gadot will join Henry Cavill's Superman and Ben Affleck's Batman, but the number of other cameos director Zack Snyder has promised to include in the pivotal DC film has some fans worried their favorite characters will be under-served, none moreso than those of the highest-profile superhero in DC Comics, or perhaps even the world.

Still, "Wonder Woman" fans can rest easy knowing that their hero won't have to wait her turn for much longer.

Gal Gadot makes her debut as Wonder Woman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," opening in theaters March 25, 2016.

"Wonder Woman" opens in theaters June 26, 2017.
