MTV Splash Page spoke with actor Liev Schreiber about a possible appearance in the sequel. “There’s been some smatterings of conversation about it, but nothing concrete yet,” says the actor. However, he does have an avenue he would like to explore with the character. “I’d like to find out how my Victor became Tyler Mane’s Victor [of the first ‘X-Men’].”

Scarlett Johansson tells Ireland Online (via Comic Book Movie) that she’s ready to suit up as the Black Widow for “The Avengers” and, perhaps a spin-off? She tells the site, “We see that she does in the comics and certainly she is a big part of ‘The Avengers’. I don’t know if that is where it’s going to go but she is definitely a big part of ‘The Avengers.'” Johansson is reportedly signed to several films for Marvel.
