"The Originals" showrunner Michael Narducci will write and executive produce a drama series based on Rob Williams and Michael Dowling's Vertigo series "Unfollow." According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Warner Bros. Television series has a script commitment from the network.

Williams and Dowling's comic follows a group of 140 people who were randomly selected to inherit the fortune of a dying social media mogul, who distrubutes this wealth via the Twitter-like social media platform he created. The cast of characters includes a young black man trying to get by in St. Louis, an Iranian reporter in need of hope, a retired special forces soldier with a strange sense of purpose and a thrill-seeking heiress. However, this group of winners quickly find out this boon may not be worth the price.

This isn't ABC's first comic book-based show. The network also currently airs episodes of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Agent Carter." Two additional Marvel shows, "Most Wanted" and "Damage Control," are also in development there.
