Will Smith has made a Brilliance decision.

Deadline reports the Oscar-nominated actor is walking away from Brilliance, director Julius Onah's adaptation of the Marcus Sakey novel about a world where a rare set of people, called brilliants, have extraordinary powers. Smith was set to play a federal agent with enhanced hunting abilities, who is put on the trail of a "brilliant" terrorist plotting a civil war.

Due to scheduling issues, Smith was forced to drop out of the project, but Noomi Rapace remains in negotiations to star in the Legendary Pictures film. There is no production start or release date on the table yet.
