Will Smith is certainly no stranger to science fiction and the paranormal, having starred in such films as "Independence Day," "Men in Black," "Hancock" and "Suicide Squad." Thereby, it should come as no surprise to see him reuniting with director David Ayer for the upcoming supernatural thriller “Bright.”

Netflix has debuted a teaser trailer for the film, which is set in an alternate-present day where creatures like elves and orcs have been co-existing with humans since the very beginning. The footage showcases Smith and Joel Edgerton as Los Angeles police officers who delve into, and combating, the paranormal. Offering a grounded and gritty feel, the threat faced by Smith and company remains ambiguous at best. With a wry, “I’m Assuming This Doesn’t End Well,” it quickly becomes clear that Smith’s character might be out of his depths.
