Wesley Snipes is headed back to television.

Deadline reports the action veteran will star opposite Philip Winchester in "Endgame," the NBC drama pilot from "Leverage" co-creator John Rogers.

Set in Las Vegas, the thriller centers on Alex (Winchester of "Strike Back" fame), an ex-intelligence officer turned security expert who's "drawn into a mysterious conspiracy that forces him to complete a series of heroic challenges in order to save innocent lives." Snipes plays Johnson, the mysterious pit boss for The Game. "Empire" actor Damon Gupton has also been cast as Cal Brown, a police detective and Alex's friend.

The website notes that Snipes, who last starred on television in the short-lived 1990 Dick Wolf drama "H.E.L.P," has regularly turned down TV projects, including Fox's "Empire."
