Who’s the scariest character in the Marvel Comics universe? Is it Wolverine, with his adamantium claws and fast-healing? Or is it Hulk, basically a raging time bomb capable of conquering worlds? What about little bit of column A mixed with a dash of column B? Yeah, that’s the stuff – that’s scary as heck.

A Wolverine/Hulk hybrid was the premise behind the Weapon X/Hulk crossover event, which imagined what would happen if the Weapon X Project somehow mixed Wolverine and Hulk’s DNA to create a Hulk with adamantium claws. Now, according to Marvel editor Nick Lowe, speaking at a panel at New York Comic Con, Weapon H is slated to become its own full-blown series.

“It is the most eight-year-old idea… and I love it,” Lowe said.

Despite his excitement, Lowe did not reveal the series’ creative team. Weapon H debuted in Totally Awesome Hulk #22 back in August and was written by Greg Pak and Robert Gill. Whether Pak and Gill will return to bring their monster’s story to fruition in a full series is currently up in the air.

No additional information about the plot of the series or a release date was given.
